I am on my first sleeve and I was also thinking it was going to be way too long. I'm making the size 2/4 and so instead of 10 1/2 " sleeves I think I'll stop at 6". This is for charity so it will fit someone but I don't want the sleeves to be disproportionate to the rest of the sweater. I have had to magic loop a lot due to lack of the right size needles.
